We are looking for a Technical Implementation Lead to deliver high quality project delivery for Core Technology Initiatives.

We sat down with our Platform Manager (who you will report to) and she let us know the following about the role:

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? 

  • Identify and manage interdependencies between initiatives and activities that cross Technology Domains.

  • Ensure costs and finances are managed effectively within budget to look to save money and drive down costs of operating and supporting technology investments and support full cost recovery.

  • Identify, monitor and control risk to ensure sustainable business and customer outcomes and to reduce technical debt and security vulnerabilities.

  • Estimation and forecasting required to support the Quarterly Planning Sessions (QPS).

  • Conduct regular project meetings/updates and provide progress reports when required

What is the team culture and environment like? 

The Managed Services team is a very friendly, welcoming, and supportive team. The team holds itself to high standards when it comes to the quality of our delivery and the information we provide, but have fun and support each other along the way too.  

What is your management style? 

My management style is to set clear expectations of the work and quality expected, provide flexibility in your approach to achieving that, but to hold you to account for the delivery of the work that was agreed upon. This team works on a ‘no surprises’ approach – keep your key stakeholders in the loop, and you will find support as you work through the process.  

What will success look like for the candidate in this role? 

Success will look like ensuring cost effective delivery of work.

What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role? 

  • Significant experience and expertise in the planning and delivery of major IT projects.

  • Experience in financial management, estimating and investment planning for major upgrades and changes to IT systems and infrastructure.

  • Proven knowledge and experience with the application of Agile delivery planning and management methodologies, systems and approaches. Understand the minutiae of the delivery process in an agile, product focused delivery domain.
