Advice for applicants

Put your strongest evidence of senior technical leadership up front on your resume. Start with a concise summary of a public-safety project where you led a cross-functional engineering team and delivered a secure, scalable system.

Show how you can verify the must-have skills by citing a project where you defined the technical roadmap and managed the full lifecycle, from concept to deployment, while coordinating with product management, operations and quality assurance.

Prepare for interviews by detailing how you balanced security requirements with user needs. Walk through a risk scenario you managed, explain the mitigation steps you took, and illustrate how you communicated key decisions to diverse stakeholders.

When you ask questions, target the role’s focus on public-safety tech. Consider asking how the team measures success for Integrated Operations Solutions and what near-term roadmap they want to advance, as well as how they ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
