Crown Perth is expanding its Entertainment Team with 2 casual Technical Operators in Audio Visual, onsite at Burswood, WA. You will support bump-in and bump-out, set up, operate and maintain AV systems across Crown venues, working with the AV Operations Supervisor and Theatre Technical Manager to deliver high quality events. The ideal candidate has AV operations experience, strong communication and a collaborative mindset, and can work under pressure to tight deadlines with a safety and continuous improvement focus. Requirements include experience with Audio/Lighting/Camera or digital consoles, basic IT, manual handling, OH&S awareness, White Card, Working at Heights, EWP, and WAAPA or equivalent. Join Crown Perth’s Entertainment Team – Casual Technical Operators (Audio Visual)

With an exciting calendar of upcoming events, Crown Perth’s Entertainment Department is expanding the Crown AV team and seeking Technical Operators – Audio Visual for 2 x casual positions.

About the Role

As a Technical Operator, you’ll collaborate with the AV Operations Supervisor and Theatre Technical Manager to support the delivery of high-quality events across Crown Perth venues. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with bump-in and bump-out of events, shows, and installations
  • Setting up, operating, dismantling, and maintaining audio-visual systems
  • Supporting the smooth execution of technical operations across various venues

About You

We’re looking for individuals who bring:

  • Previous experience in AV operations
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • A proactive attitude and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Additional Information

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Experience in operating Audio Visual systems including Audio, Lighting, Camera and/or experience in operating Digital Audio consoles, Lighting and Vision systems
  • Experience with correct manual handling technique
  • Basic IT knowledge
  • Understanding of OH&S and work safe practices

This role requires:

  • Working at Heights
  • White Card
  • EWP
  • Relevant Certificate qualification (WAAPA or equivalent)
