About The Role   

As a Technical Sales Representative, you will implement technical, colour and digital customer solutions, support sales acquisition by demonstration and validation of solutions, development of distribution technical teams and supporting new product, digital & colour service launch within the described territory. 

 

How You Will Do It 

  • Maintain required customer and distributor visit cycles, meeting objectives, and action plans based on business rules and sales priorities. 

  • Provide day‑to‑day technical, colour, and training support to customers and distributors within the assigned territory. 

  • Conduct new customer acquisition demos, including digital and colour solutions, showcasing value propositions versus competitors. 

  • Support sales teams in presenting technical demo outcomes to target customers. 

  • Implement digital and colour solutions (including Refinity) across all assigned customers. 

  • Identify painter skill gaps, deliver onsite training, resolve customer complaints promptly, and conduct technical vehicle inspections with reporting. 

  • Execute system conversions, customer trainings, and technology transfers while identifying improvement opportunities and demonstrating advantages. 

  • Update Customer Skills Assessment and Sales Force databases regularly as required. 

  • Maintain required technical competencies, complete all training (including e‑learning), and collaborate with Technical Process Specialists to maximize customer productivity, efficiency, and repair quality. 

 

What We Look For 

  • Either hold a tertiary qualification in Automotive Refinish or equivalent spray painter qualification. Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training is preferred. 

  • At least 6 years of refinish industry working experience. 

  • Experienced in coaching and development, delivering and communicating information to a diverse audience. 

  • Experience in using modern auto refinish materials preferred but not essential 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
