Job Description

The Technical Sales Lead is a 24-month Fixed term contract and a client-facing, hands-on solutions role, embedded alongside our client’s sales and product teams, focused on helping them confidently position and sell modern acceptance and digital commerce solutions.

The role suits someone with solid sales experience who enjoys the technical side of selling — getting into product documentation, understanding how platforms work, running simple demos, and translating customer needs into practical solutions.

You don’t need to be an engineer, and you don’t need deep payments experience on day one. Curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to get stuck in matter more

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultative selling & discovery
Partner with our client’s sales teams to uncover merchant needs, ask the right questions, and shape solution‑based conversations focused on business outcomes.
  • Solution storytelling & demonstrations
Use working product knowledge to explain how solutions work, support demos, and bring concepts to life beyond a slide deck.
  • Hands-on product learning
Build familiarity with platforms, APIs, documentation, and sandbox environments to confidently support sales and customer discussions.
  • Sales enablement & collaboration
Support proposals, presentations, and solution recommendations, working closely with relationship managers, product teams, and Visa specialists.
  • End-to-end ownership
Stay involved from early conversations through to handover for implementation, ensuring clarity, momentum, and a positive customer experience.
  • Market awareness
Keep across merchant needs, industry trends, and competitor approaches to help sharpen positioning and relevance

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in solution sales, technical sales, or consultative B2B roles
  • Comfortable engaging in commercial and technical conversations (e.g. platforms, APIs, integrations — not deep engineering)
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self‑starter mindset with a sense of ownership and follow‑through
  • Curious, hands‑on approach to learning products and technology

Desirable:

  • Experience with payment gateways, eCommerce platforms, or fintech solutions
  • Exposure to API‑based or SaaS products in a client‑facing role
