Technical Solutions Engineer Associate, Scaled Solutions
GoogleGoogle is hiring for a Technical Solutions Engineer Associate to join its Scaled Solutions group in Groningen, WAL. This full-time, onsite role sits within the Google Cloud Platform team, which builds secure, scalable cloud tools used by developers, businesses, schools and government agencies around the world. The right candidate will enjoy solving tricky problems across hardware, software and processes, and will be comfortable working with cross-functional partners to drive improvements.
You’ll collaborate closely with Google Server Operations and the Data Center Software teams to deliver technical and process solutions that raise operational standards. The role involves solving issues at scale, across the supply chain software stack in Google data centers globally, with a focus on capacity fulfillment and enablement operations. It’s a chance to contribute to ongoing initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining high levels of reliability.

Scale-minded problem solving in data centers
In this role you’ll diagnose blockers that affect workflows and partner with stakeholders to reach fast, solid resolutions. You’ll design and refine internal tools and automated frameworks to streamline how issues are managed, and you’ll help create standardized playbooks and processes so teams can handle problems autonomously. Collaboration with Engineering and Server Operations is key to uncovering root causes of adverse business outcomes, and you’ll help keep projects on track by coordinating with cross-functional partners and supporting operations through on-call rotations or weekend shifts.
What you need to bring to the team

- A bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- About two years spent troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs, including triaging a mix of hardware, software, applications and process issues.
- Ability to read code in a general-purpose language or to work with system design concepts.
Additionally, the following qualifications can help you stand out:
- Two years of experience across at least two areas such as web technologies, data or big data, systems administration, machine learning, networking, Kubernetes, Oracle or SAP.
- Experience consulting with enterprise customers and working under tight service-level objectives and agreements.
- Hands-on cloud computing exposure through certifications, internships, coursework or practical projects.
- Experience owning the full lifecycle of technical projects, from design and development to maintenance and ongoing improvements.
- Background building backend applications or writing shell scripts.
Compensation, perks and practical details
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Finland: €58000 - €59000 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
Ireland: €68000 - €69500 (EUR) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
