NZSki is hiring a Terrain Park Crew member for Mt Hutt to help design and build safe terrain parks, maintain features, test daily, and deliver guest service. You’ll rake, shovel, salt and dye features, assess park status, set up fencing and signage, and test features. In this role you will be assisting in the design and build of Terrain Parks that provides a safe and progressive environment for our guests. Your main responsibilities will be to maintain the parks to match the safety, progression, and aesthetic standards set in place. You will test features daily and critique the quality of each individual feature to ensure the highest quality product.

This is a front line customer service role requiring you to proactively provide guests with necessary information on the safe use of our parks.

We seek problem solvers who can maintain a high standard of work consistently throughout the season, and who can operate and communicate as part of a diverse and inclusive team.


About the Role
• raking, shovelling, and maintaining features (including salting & dyeing)
• assisting with the design and building of the Terrain Parks
• assessing open/closed status of park/features
• set-up of fencing and signage
• testing features
• delivery of awesome customer service
About You
• possess a basic knowledge of snow cat and snowmaking capabilities is an advantage
• ability to factor flow, maintenance and progression when designing Terrain Parks
• an understanding spacing and snow quantity requirements
• experience in feature design and construction (joinery, fabrication, painting)
• promoting sustainability and the efficient use of resources
• possess an excellent health and safety record and understand hazard management processes
• proactive, take responsibility for upskilling and willing to contribute to our department goals and objectives
