Territory Manager - Ontario
Colgate-PalmoliveColgate-Palmolive is looking for a Territory Manager to lead Hill’s Pet Nutrition efforts across Ontario. The role is onsite in Toronto and spans a broad Ontario territory that includes Aurora, Newmarket, Keswick, Barrie, Midland, Parry Sound, Sudbury, Timmins and surrounding areas. The position will suit someone who enjoys building solid relationships with veterinary professionals and applying clinical knowledge to help clinics grow with Hill’s products.
Reporting into a field-based team, the Territory Manager is tasked with driving net sales, optimizing product mix and boosting Hill’s market share and professional endorsements among veterinary clinics. The role is based in Toronto and is offered onsite, with no relocation assistance offered. A strong candidate will combine clinical understanding with business development, and be comfortable working across a sizeable Ontario territory.

Territory at a glance
The Territory Manager serves an account base of veterinary clinics in cities across Ontario, including Aurora, Newmarket, Keswick, Barrie, Midland, Parry Sound, Sudbury, Timmins and the surrounding areas. They are the primary point of contact with veterinary professionals, steering Hill’s as the strategic partner of choice through clinical expertise and business development strategies.
On a day-to-day basis, the role centers on planning and executing high-value calls, while maintaining precise records in Hill’s reporting systems and tracking budgets and expenses. A deep, ongoing learning of small animal nutrition, Hill’s product lines and competitive offerings is essential to stay ahead, with continuous self-study and formal training contributing to this expertise.
Clinic business development is a core focus, building networks with key decision-makers and health care teams, and delivering professional support through detailing, technical training and merchandising. The role also involves strategic planning: crafting annual joint business plans for key accounts and conducting quarterly business reviews to measure progress against goals.
As opportunities arise, you’ll develop technical and business propositions that meet the needs of both Hill’s and your clients, driving leadership in BRMO initiatives and ensuring strong 6P execution in clinics. The day-to-day also expects you to implement commercial activities that secure full distribution, rapid product adoption and optimal shelf space, while maintaining Hill’s standards for merchandising and practice protocols. You’ll also represent Hill’s at trade shows, local and national meetings, and clinic events, keeping an eye on competitive trends.

Must-have qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with prior sales experience OR a 2-year Associate Degree with Registered Veterinary Tech (RVT) credentials.
Nice-to-have qualifications

Preferred Education: a B.S. in Biology, Chemistry, Nutrition, Animal Science, or Business Administration; a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree is highly preferred.

Experience: at least two years of sales experience in the veterinary, pharmaceutical or nutrition industries.

Credentials: licensed DVM or RVT with practice, industry or veterinary teaching experience.

Requirements: a valid driver’s license and residency within the assigned territory.
Compensation and practical details
The compensation package includes a salary range of $77,400.00 - $90,300.00 CAD per year, with pay based on factors like experience, education, skills and office location. In addition to base pay, Colgate-Palmolive Canada Inc. / Hill’s Pet Nutrition Canada Inc. offers a performance-based bonus and a competitive benefits package.
