THE DUCHESS, part of THE ENTOURAGE GROUP, is on the lookout for a Barback in Amsterdam, NL. This full-time, onsite post supports the bar team by keeping stations stocked with everything from products to utensils and ice, ensuring guests are served without delays. The right person loves cocktails, works well in a team, and is keen to grow into a bartender role. The environment is fast-paced, so you’ll need to stay organized, personable and diligent on the floor.

In this role you’ll help ensure guests are greeted warmly and served efficiently, keep the bar area prepared for peak service, and support the team by handling tasks that keep the service moving smoothly. A day behind the Duchess bar

As a Barback you’ll focus on stocking the bar and keeping ice, utensils and other essentials replenished so that the bartenders can serve drinks without interruption. You’ll contribute to the guest experience by assisting with food orders when needed, managing the flow of guests around the bar area, and handling routine bar transfers and financial transactions with accuracy. A timely greeting and positive communication set the tone as guests step up to the bar, and you’ll stay on top of tasks through clear organization and steady teamwork.

In practice that means keeping the bar ready for service, supporting cocktail-loving teammates, and maintaining a tidy, well-prepared space that makes it easy to deliver great drinks and attentive service even during busy periods.

Hours, location and practical details
