Tony’s Choco Cruise Tour Guide at Tony’s Chocolonely in Amsterdam is a full time onsite role focused on delivering an unforgettable Choco Cruise experience through high energy storytelling that brings Tony’s mission and Amsterdam’s history to life. You will create meaningful guest connections, guide tours smoothly, deliver standout chocolate tastings, and collaborate with skippers and store captains to maintain a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. The ideal candidate is a natural, adaptable storyteller who thrives in diverse groups, is organized, fluent in English (additional languages a plus), and passionate about Tony’s purpose and values. Offer includes €14.40 gross per hour plus holiday pay, weekend multipliers; apply directly with examples of past hospitality or storytelling work, and show weekend availability.

What you will do 

The goal of this role is to deliver an unforgettable Tony’s Choco Cruise experience by bringing Tony’s mission and Amsterdam’s history to life through engaging, high-energy storytelling. The Tour Guide creates meaningful connections with guests, turning visitors into true Tony’s fans by inspiring them with our impact story, providing exceptional hospitality, and ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and memorable experience from start to finish.

• You deliver unforgettable Choco Cruise experiences by bringing Tony’s mission and Amsterdam’s stories to life through engaging and high-energy storytelling 

• You create meaningful connections with guests, turning visitors into true Tony’s fans through inspiration, enthusiasm, and genuine interaction 

• You guide guests throughout the tour, ensuring a smooth, fun, and well-organized experience from start to finish 

• You translate Tony’s complex impact story into simple, relatable, and memorable narratives that spark curiosity and conversation 

• You deliver standout chocolate tasting moments, using storytelling to enhance flavor experiences and strengthen brand love 

• You create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe atmosphere on board, making every guest feel seen and comfortable 

• You actively encourage guests to visit the Super Store, explore Tony’s platforms, and share their experience in an authentic way 

• You collaborate closely with skippers and store captains to ensure seamless operations and a high-quality experience 

• You continuously improve the tour by capturing feedback, experimenting with storytelling techniques, and sharing insights with the team

• You will have flexible hours from 0 to 14 hours  

Job Requirements

• You know how to engage and energize a group, making every guest leave with a smile and a story to remember 

• You are a natural storyteller, able to adapt your style to different audiences (tourists, families, corporate groups) 

• You are customer-focused, approachable, and confident in interacting with diverse groups of people 

• You have experience in customer-facing roles, hospitality, events, or storytelling environments 

• You are comfortable delivering product tastings and connecting them to a broader brand story 

• You are organized and able to manage group dynamics while keeping the tour running smoothly 

• You are fluent in English; additional languages are a strong plus 

• You are flexible and available to work varying hours, including weekends

• Getting trained by specially trained Captains. You'll become an expert in no time!  

• We all work hard and have fun. Loads and loads of fun! Because we looooooooooooooove having fun at work. Don’t get us wrong, we know how to work our socks off too. 

• And of course, lotssss of chocolate. 😉 

• For this position we offer €14.40 gross per hour, including the 8% holiday pay, 130% for Saturday hours until 18:00  and 150% for Sunday hours and 200% on public holiday
