BCV recherche un traducteur spécialisé en Français pour 50% sur 6 à 12 mois, basé à Lausanne, onsite, au sein de la direction Media & Communication. Vous traduierez et réviserez des textes banking et finance, avec une emphase sur les aspects juridiques, du allemand et occasionnellement de l’anglais vers le français, et piloterez des projets de traduction tech avec le chef d’équipe, tout en coordonnant workflows, budgets et prestataires externes. Le candidat idéal est un locuteur natif français, fluent en allemand et bon en anglais, doté d’un diplôme en traduction avec spécialisation en technologies de traduction et idéalement d’une formation post‑universitaire en traduction tech; une expérience en traduction financière et juridique DE>FR est requise, ainsi que des compétences solides en TM et outils de traduction, et une attitude orientée résultats avec autonomie. For our Media&Communication department, we are looking for

French Financial Translator 50%, 6 to 12 months

Your missions:

• translating and editing the entire range of banking- and finance-related texts, especially content relating to the legal aspects of finance, from German and occasionally English into French 
• playing a driving role in the team’s current translation-tech projects, under the guidance of the team head
• helping coordinate our operations, including workflows, budgets, collaborations with external providers, etc.

Your profile:

• native speaker of French (i.e., formative years in a French-speaking country up through first university degree)
• fluent in German and at least good working knowledge of English 
• relevant academic qualifications: preferably a degree in translation with a concentration in translation tech, and ideally post-graduate qualifications specifically in translation tech
• extremely good hands-on knowledge of translation apps and translation memory (TM) databases, extending beyond mere “use-of” familiarity to include demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, problem-solving and compatibility
• experience and/or training in the field of financial translation in general and banking in particular, as well as knowledge of legal translation (DE>FR) 
• a results-oriented, “drive-to-deliver” attitude, including a demonstrated ability to hit delivery-date targets, not just on individual translation jobs but also on larger projects, most notably tech
• good organizational and project-management skills and the ability to work autonomously when necessary
