Fulton Hogan is recruiting a Traffic Signals Electrician for the Canterbury Region, working in Hornby. This full-time role focuses on installing, maintaining and repairing traffic signals, CCTV, VMS, UPS and other ITS equipment, authorising prescribed electrical work and following health and safety policies, with most work Monday to Friday but occasional weekend or night shifts and an on-call roster. You’ll need Full Electrical Registration, a Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence, and ideally experience with ITS gear; you should excel in reliability maintenance, fault diagnosis, and meeting deadlines. Join us as a Traffic Signals Electrician in the Canterbury Region!

In this role, you’ll see yourself responsible for carrying out a variety of Electrical work around Canterbury to help deliver work for our customers, safely, on time and to the highest quality standard. Most of our work is performed during a normal working week Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required as deadlines and specific contracts may require weekend and night work. You will also be required to be on an On Call Roster.

In addition to the above you will:   

  • Install, maintain and repair traffic signals, CCTV, VMS, UPS and other ITS equipment.
  • Authorise and certify prescribed electrical work.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

We’re looking for someone with:  

  • Full Electrical Registration
  • Experience in Traffic Signals, CCTV, VMS, UPS and other ITS equipment would be advantageous
  • A strong focus on reliability maintenance and an aptitude for fault diagnosis
  • Full Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • A proactive approach to Health and Safety – it’s our #1 priority!
  • A proven ability to work to deadlines, strong organisational skills and a focus on meeting objectives.
  • The ability to work unsupervised and complete tasks as requested to a high standard.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work as part of a team.
