UP Education’s City-Wide Building and Training Services (CWBTS) seeks a permanent part-time Trainer Assessor in Carpentry to deliver onsite training across Newcastle and surrounding regions, with potential move to full-time as enrolments grow. The package includes base pay AUD 80,000 to 85,000 plus super pro-rata and a vehicle allowance AUD 17,000 pro-rata, with travel and occasional overnight stays. You will prepare and facilitate compliant, industry aligned training, support learners and employers, and maintain records in ReadySkills and VETtrak. Requirements: Carpentry qualification (Certificate III+) and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent), plus apprenticeship training experience and solid LMS/CRM skills. As a Trainer Assessor in Carpentry, you will deliver onsite training and assessment for apprentices across pre-apprenticeship, school-based, and workplace contexts. The Trainer & Assessor plays a key role in ensuring training is delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance, and industry relevance. The role also supports student engagement, employer communication, assessment validation, and continuous improvement.
