Transport Planner – Graduate / Early Career

We’re growing our Transport team in Auckland and are looking for a Transport Planner at Graduate/Grade B level to join us.

This is a great opportunity to build your career working alongside experienced planners and engineers on a wide range of transport and infrastructure projects across New Zealand.

The role

You’ll support the planning and delivery of transport projects, working across areas such as:

  • Transport planning and network analysis
  • Modelling, data analysis and reporting
  • Preparing technical reports, assessments and consent documentation
  • Supporting business cases and feasibility studies
  • Working with multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Engaging with clients, councils and stakeholders

You’ll be supported by senior team members, with clear development pathways and mentoring to help you grow your capability.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn and build a career in transport planning. You’ll likely have:

  • A relevant degree (e.g. transport, civil engineering, planning, geography or similar)
  • 0–3 years’ experience (consulting or client-side)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • An interest in transport systems, urban growth and sustainable outcomes
  • Experience with tools like Excel, GIS or modelling software is a plus
