Severn Trent is recruiting a Trunk Mains Specialist based in Derbyshire to join our team and safeguard the network from water treatment assets to DMAs above 12 inches. You’ll assist the Team Manager in leading trunk main operatives, manage reactive incidents and capital schemes, and work with contractors across a wide geography while ensuring safety, compliance and constructive relationships with internal teams and regulators. A focus on HSE, CDM, water quality and asset optimisation is essential, as is translating operational needs into capital delivery. We have a fantastic opportunity to join us at Severn Trent as a Trunk Mains Specialist. This opportunity is based in Derbyshire.
Being involved with the multi award winning Trunk Main Team, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the effective response and repair of all trunk mains. We also complete capital schemes, to ensure proactive activity is taking place to improve our networks resilience. You will support the team manager in operating and maintaining our Strategic Network safely, compliantly, and efficiently.
Your area would be for non-Aqueducts mains from our Water Treatment Assets and storage Reservoirs all the way to our DMAs that are above 12”. You would assist operations for all these assets that are above 12” in size and up to 60” in size and support the wider Water networks team on DMA mains repairs that are above 12”.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You will also be experienced in working collaboratively with contract partners and stakeholders across a large geographical area. Also, in the of building and developing of effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also have a real focus on Health Safety and Well Being to ensure that nobody gets hurt or made unwell by our activities and ensure full compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
