Envision Radiology is growing its ultrasound team with a new Ultrasound Technologist role in Coppell, Texas. The position is full-time and onsite at a center that will open in January 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay range attached to this role is $40.75 to $52.54.

The employer is building out its Coppell presence to expand access to imaging services. This role sits under radiology leadership and offers the chance to work closely with radiologists, perform adult and pediatric ultrasound exams, and help ensure images are obtained and shared for diagnosis.

Envision Radiology operates outpatient imaging centers and is positioning this new Coppell location as part of its broader network. The Ultrasound Technologist will perform procedures, support specialized exams, and help transfer images to other sites as needed.

What a day in the lab looks like

You’ll start by talking with patients to understand medical history and to explain the exam so you can capture the best possible image. You’ll review charts for missing information or consent, and screen for implants or allergies before a scan. During the ultrasound, you’ll capture and print images, monitor the patient’s care before, during, and after the exam, and alert the right people if a patient’s condition changes.

Working alongside radiologists on specialized studies, you’ll coordinate scan protocols and ensure images are accessible for other locations when required. You’ll keep the ultrasound equipment in good shape, perform routine inspections, and report any quality issues or equipment deficiencies. Regular communication with the Lead Technologist and the Center/Area Manager helps address departmental concerns, and other duties may be assigned as needed.

The must-have requirements you’ll want to meet

Here’s what helps you fit this role well:

  • Two-plus years of ultrasound experience are preferred.
  • Ability to educate patients about the procedures being performed.
  • Excellent attention to detail, self-motivation, problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Capability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to contribute in a high-energy, team-based setting.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding company and customer expectations.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Pay, benefits and practical details you should know

The role carries a pay range of $40.75 to $52.54. The work week runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, onsite at the new Coppell center opening in January 2027. No travel is expected for this position.

The work environment is an outpatient clinical setting with controls in place to minimize radiation exposure. The job may involve exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, and other conditions common to medical offices, and sometimes requires working in cool, dimly lit rooms. The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently, with regular use of hands and eyes for intricate tasks and close vision work. CPR/BLS certification is required, and a state medical board license may be needed if applicable. OSHA exposure is rated 3, indicating potential exposure to blood and other potentially infectious fluids. The company emphasizes equal opportunity and compliance with its Code of Conduct and policies, and promotes a work environment free from discriminatory practices.

Education and certifications that help you stand out include graduating from an accredited Sonography program, and having current ARDMS RVT or ARRT VS registry preferred, along with ARDMS OB/GYN or ARRT S registry preferred. A current license from the state medical board is also listed as applicable, with CPR/BLS up to date.

Advice for applicants

First, place your ultrasound experience up front on your resume, making sure you note the total years and the types of exams you’ve handled, including pediatric work if applicable. This role favors someone who has worked in a clinical imaging setting and can demonstrate practical competency with image acquisition and patient care.

When you describe your must-have skills, give concrete examples: how you explain procedures to patients, how you manage multiple tasks across computer systems, and a moment when you coordinated with a radiologist on a complex study or adjusted a protocol for quality imaging.

Be prepared to discuss times you contributed to a fast-moving team, how you maintained equipment and handled troubleshooting, and how you ensured patient safety and comfort during exams. Have a ready story about a time you caught a potential issue during an exam and how you communicated it to a supervisor or radiologist.

If you get asked for questions, ask about the Coppell center timeline and how the team will collaborate during the January 2027 opening, what success looks like in the first 90 days, and how imaging protocols are coordinated with radiologists across locations.
