ROLE SUMMARY:

ACG Penguins is seeking casual Unqualified Teachers to join our early learning team located in the heart of Howick, Auckland. By encouraging exploration, curiosity, and collaboration, we empower children to take an active role in their education. Teachers, families, and children work together to create a rich, inquiry-based learning environment that extends beyond the classroom.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and are available to provide flexible relief support when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be aware of being a reflective participant in focussing on enhancing children's learning.
• Where applicable, use a wide range of teaching strategies to promote, equity, excellence and value cultural diversity.
• Be aware of intentional teaching to respond and engage with all learners.
• Be aware of critical enquiry and problem solving to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and outcomes for all learners.
• Has flexibility and can confidently adapt to the varying ages, needs, and learning styles of children

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Strong team players with good communication skills

• Willing to learn and engage with RIE, Reggio, and Te Whāriki principles

• Have experience working with children under 6 years old (preferably in New Zealand)
