Midland Transport Limited seeks a Class 1 Owner Operator Linehaul Driver based in any Maritime city to run routes across the Maritimes, the US East Coast, and Ontario/Quebec. You will deliver freight on time, perform pre, en route and post-trip inspections, and manage US border crossings to NY/NJ. Per-mile pay (CDN and US), fuel caps, quarterly bonuses, paid pickups/drops/wait times, uniform allowance, truck painting help, optional insurance, and a newer bunk truck. Requirements: 4+ years safe tractor-trailer experience, clean abstract and criminal search, cross-border eligibility with FAST card, satellite familiarity, and flexible shifts. Midland Transport Limited is currently seeking professional Class 1 Owner Operator Linehaul Truck Driver. The Driver can be based out of any major city of the Maritimes.
As a Linehaul Driver, you'll run longhaul routes throughout the Maritimes, the U.S. Eastern Seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec while consistently following company procedures and maintaining high safety standards.
What we offer:
• Canadian miles: $1.605 per mile. /USA miles: $1.720 per mile.
• Fuel Capped at: Domestic $0.408 per liter & U.S. $1.54 per U.S. gal.
• Safety and fuel bonus paid quarterly.
• Pick-ups, drops, and wait times are paid (restrictions apply).
• Uniform allowance.

• Running Linehaul between the Maritimes, United States eastern seaboard, and Ontario/Quebec.
• Deliver freight to assigned locations ensuring timely delivery.
• Offload variable shipment weight and handle freight equipment properly and in a safe manner to avoid any damage.
• Communicate efficiently with the central dispatch and customers.
• Operate the tractor trailer in accordance with the safety regulation: company rules while following safety procedures and traffic laws.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the truck operation.
• Report any incident, accident, injury or damage in a timely manner.
• Willingness to work linehaul legs into the United States, including New York and New Jersey.
• Newer model of a Bunk Truck.
• Education Required: High School or GED.
• Class 1 driver’s license with a minimum of 4 years of safe tractor trailer driving experience in North America required.
• Clean driver’s abstract and criminal search.
• Eligibility to receive a FAST card.
• Eligibility to cross the border with US.
• Familiarity with satellite systems.
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. using the proper equipment.
• Safety conscious.
• Must have flexibility to work various shifts: Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
