The Churchill Auckland, the city’s most luxurious rooftop gin and cocktail bar, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Venue Manager to lead our sophisticated venue to new heights. Renowned for offering over 160 gin varieties from around the globe, bespoke cocktails, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city skyline, The Churchill is an iconic destination for those who appreciate refined hospitality and impeccable service.

What We’re Looking For: We are searching for an enthusiastic leader with a deep passion for the world of beverages, especially gin and cocktails. The ideal candidate will have an impressive background in managing high-end hospitality venues and a proven track record of driving business success, exceptional guest experiences, and fostering strong team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of The Churchill, ensuring smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.

  • Lead and inspire a talented team, driving staff satisfaction, training, and development.

  • Manage all aspects of the bar, including stock control, beverage offerings, and ensuring a seamless dining and drinking experience.

  • Ensure financial success by meeting revenue targets and optimizing operational efficiency.

  • Be a sales focused leader who supports overall revenue generation for the Churchill and the overall hotel property, through proactive involvement in attracting in-house guests, international travelers and our locals!

  • Uphold and enhance The Churchill’s reputation as a luxury destination through innovative service and attention to detail.

  • Collaborate with the executive team to drive business growth and brand excellence.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team.

  • A team focused approach that encapsulates supporting the overall hotel and food and beverage objectives.

  • An understanding of how to drive great commercial outcomes including top-line revenues and bottom-line returns.

  • Extensive experience in managing high-end bars, restaurants, or luxury hospitality venues.

  • In-depth knowledge of beverage offerings, particularly gin, spirits, and cocktails.

  • A passion for delivering world-class guest experiences with a focus on elegance and detail.
