The Opportunity
Mosaic is seeking a Watershed Stewardship Summer Student for the 2026 summer work term from May 4 to August 28 to work out of our Nanaimo office on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

This position offers hands-on, field-based experience supporting watershed infrastructure assessment, natural asset inventory, and collaborative restoration work on Vancouver Island. The successful student will play a meaningful role in advancing Mosaic’s Watershed Stewardship plan.

What We’re Seeking:

  • 1+ year(s) of study and currently enrolled in a forestry, environmental science, natural resource management, or related diploma/degree program;
  • Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent;
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety and its importance on the job;
  • Interest in watershed management, environmental monitoring, and applied fieldwork;
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
  •  Ability to safely work in Coastal BC terrain and variable weather conditions.

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $23.75 to $27.00. Individual compensation is commensurate with skill, relevant experience, and education.
