Merck Group is seeking a Working Student (all genders) in the Life Science Portfolio Branding team to work on-site in Darmstadt, 20 hours per week for about six months with the potential for extension. You’ll gain hands-on experience in Marketing and Branding, managing your own work packages while supporting daily tasks such as financial reporting, campaign data analysis, and content management in our systems within an international environment. What matters most: pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related fields, quick learner, self driven, curious and goal oriented, excellent MS Office skills (PowerPoint and Excel), strong analytical and conceptual abilities, and English at C1 with German a plus. Your role
As a Working Student (all genders) within the Life Science Portfolio Branding team, you will work in an international environment. You will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience in Marketing and Branding handling your own work packages as well as supporting the team in varying daily tasks. We are looking for a person who enjoys working on a wide range of tasks ‒from financial reporting and forecasting processes, analysis of campaign data and management of content in our systems. This is a part-time position with flexible working hours (20h/week) onsite in Darmstadt’s headquarter offices, allowing you to balance your academic commitments with work responsibilities. The duration of the working student position is typically 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. Start date should be as early as possible.
Who you are
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related subjects
- Quick apprehension, self-initiative, and reliable working attitude paired with a curious, goal-oriented, and open personality
- Very good skills in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills
- Very good (C1) written and oral communication in English (German would be a plus)
