Three or four tips to help you shine
First, place your treasury and capital markets experience front and center on your resume. Highlight specific work on debt and equity financing, cash-flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, and any experience with hedging or capital allocation decisions, plus the kinds of financing you’ve supported (debentures, mortgages, term loans, revolvers, etc.).
Second, prove you have the must-have skills with concrete results. If you’ve built analytical models or reporting tools, describe what problem they solved, the impact on funding decisions, and how you used Excel and PowerPoint to present findings clearly to senior leaders. If you’ve used AI-enabled tools, spell out what processes you improved and what efficiency gains you observed.
Third, prepare for interviews by outlining your approach to debt covenants, leverage metrics, liquidity targets, and interest-rate exposure. Be ready with a compact case or example that demonstrates how you’d monitor capital markets activity and translate that into actionable guidance for financing decisions.
Fourth, have a thoughtful question ready about the role’s Equifax responsibilities and how treasury data flows into lender or rating-agency materials. A good example: ask how the team leverages Equifax in daily operations and what you would own as the lead system administrator for that platform.
