Wynn Al Marjan Island is hiring on-site for an experienced Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection to join the resort’s security team. The role oversees security operations during shifts across gaming and non-gaming areas and serves as the on‑shift authority for security matters. The right candidate will bring a proven track record of leading large security teams, a calm, decisive leadership style, and a commitment to safeguarding guests, colleagues and assets while upholding policy and high service standards.
In this position, you’ll be trusted to guide the day‑to‑day security posture, balance proactive prevention with rapid response, and coordinate with other departments to keep the property safe and guest experiences uninterrupted. You’ll lead with integrity, exercise sound judgement, and represent the security function with professionalism on every shift.
A day on the asset protection floor
During your shift, you’ll oversee all security operations for gaming and non‑gaming areas and direct the Security Supervisor in how the team is deployed to ensure comprehensive coverage and a strong response capability. You’ll actively supervise posts and oversight, maintaining a safe, controlled environment across the property while ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, resort policies and security procedures. You’ll manage access control to restricted and sensitive spaces, validating that entry is authorized for gaming floors, back‑of‑house zones and other controlled locations.
When incidents, disturbances or emergencies arise, you’ll lead the response in partnership with the Security Supervisor and security team, coordinating with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Corporate Investigations and other relevant departments as needed. You’ll monitor both gaming and non‑gaming spaces for security threats, prohibited conduct and indicators that could affect gaming integrity, guest safety or asset protection, escalating significant events to Security leadership and approved stakeholders in a timely fashion.
You’ll guide, coach and supervise the Security Supervisor and the broader team to maintain standards of conduct, appearance and performance. You’ll run shift briefings and handovers to communicate incidents, risks, staffing issues and operational priorities, and you’ll review shift logs and incident records for accuracy and timely submission. You’ll manage guest incidents, disputes, refusals of entry or removals in line with policy, keep security equipment ready, and inspect posts, patrol routes and access points to detect deficiencies. In emergencies, you’ll help execute response, evacuation and business continuity procedures affecting any area of the property, and you’ll collaborate with gaming, hotel, food and beverage, entertainment and other departments to support safe, secure and uninterrupted operations while maintaining guest‑focused service within policy.
Must-have credentials
To be considered, the following requirements should be met.
- A minimum of five years in a security leadership role within large integrated resorts
- Proven experience directing sizable security teams
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in security or a related field
- A strong leadership presence paired with sound professional judgement
- High integrity, discretion and accountability in all actions
- Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- A solid understanding of gaming and non‑gaming operations, as well as hospitality and security workflows
- Strong analytical ability with risk-based decision making
- The ability to stay calm, adaptable and resilient under pressure
Nice-to-have credentials
ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP) is preferred.
