Events Asset Protection Manager
Wynn Al Marjan IslandWynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, is gearing up to welcome guests to what will be the UAE’s first integrated resort. The property is slated to open in 2027 and will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants and bars, a theater, a beach club, multiple pools, a five‑star spa, a shopping promenade, and a dedicated celebrations and events center. The company is adding an Events Manager – Asset Protection to the Asset Protection team to ensure every big moment is delivered safely and smoothly.
The role sits onsite at the resort and focuses on turning corporate security aims into practical, guest‑friendly event security plans that safeguard the guest experience, protect the resort’s reputation, and support operational continuity. It’s a fit for someone who has run security for major events in hospitality, gaming, entertainment, or other high‑volume environments and who can coordinate across hotel, casino, entertainment, retail, F&B, and outdoor spaces.
In short, this is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who wants to shape security for marquee events at a premier destination, while working within a globally recognized brand in the UAE.
Keeping a world‑class resort secure during big moments
You’ll translate overarching security aims into practical event‑specific plans that align with the resort’s risk framework and brand standards, ensuring guest comfort and safety without dampening the experience. You’ll also map out long‑range event calendars with resort leadership to anticipate security resource needs, staffing models, and budget implications, and design integrated operating models that cover every part of the venue from hotel floors to casino floors, entertainment spaces, shops, and outdoor areas.
When major events roll in, VIP visits, festivals, or multi‑day conferences, you’ll lead scenario planning for security and emergency response. You’ll keep senior leaders informed about evolving threats, regulatory changes, and industry best practices while ensuring event risk assessments are embedded in plans for traffic and crowd management, in coordination with the WMI Events team and Security Division leaders. You’ll also research new event‑security technologies, weighing feasibility and long‑term value before any adoption, and you’ll serve as the on‑scene lead during live events, coordinating real‑time decisions with command‑center operations.
Benchmarking performance against global standards and pursuing continuous improvement will be part of your remit, and you’ll work to integrate security planning with key stakeholders to deliver seamless events. Building strong relationships with local law enforcement, emergency medical services, and regulatory authorities is part of the job, as is ensuring security protocols still enhance the guest experience with a hospitality focus. You’ll develop and lead an event‑security team through training and coaching, establish succession plans, and create targeted programs for crowd management, conflict de‑escalation, cultural awareness, and VIP protection. You’ll also oversee workforce planning for contract event‑security staffing and manage budgets so resources are deployed cost‑effectively without compromising safety.

Tips to help you stand out for this role
Lead your resume with the core credential and track record: clearly state your bachelor’s degree in a security‑related field and highlight at least five years of leading security for large‑scale events at major venues or integrated resorts. If you can, quantify what you’ve delivered, for example, how you aligned security plans with risk management frameworks or how you supported guest experience during high‑profile occasions.
Show how you translate objectives into action: share concrete examples where you converted corporate security aims into event security plans, risk assessments, staffing models, and crowd management strategies. Mention any emergency‑response coordination you led and how it integrated with broader operations.
Be ready to discuss cross‑agency collaboration: describe prior experience working with law enforcement, emergency services, regulatory authorities, or VIP movements in hospitality, gaming, or entertainment settings. Demonstrate your ability to coordinate with multiple teams and keep stakeholders aligned during complex events.
Ask a targeted question that shows you’re thinking about integration and guest experience: you might ask how the property measures event‑security success across hotel, casino, and outdoor spaces, or how the asset protection team partners with the WMI Events group and Security Division to deliver risk‑aware, guest‑centered events.
