Sia is a global management consulting firm that helps clients transform through strategy, delivery and AI-enabled services anchored in responsible practices. Founded in 1999, the company blends senior thinking with technology to accelerate results. With about 3,000 consultants across 48 locations in 19 countries, Sia supports clients worldwide and emphasises optimism about change. The Associate Manager role sits in Sia's Health and Government practice, blending strategic advisory for executive and government audiences with hands-on development of AI-enabled delivery tools. The position is on site in Perth, full-time, and suits someone who can work across senior stakeholders and the practical tools that underpin how advice is delivered. This role appeals to a professional with a solid consulting background who can move between high-level strategy and tangible tool-building, and who enjoys engaging with Western Australian health and government stakeholders.

Day-to-day work in the health and government practice

In this role you’ll lead and shape workstreams across activities such as refreshing strategy, shaping operating models, advising on governance, and drafting proposals for health and government clients. You’ll produce client-facing deliverables like proposal decks, budget and staffing models, and executive-level reporting, drawing on experience with WA health and government stakeholder environments. You’ll design and run stakeholder engagement processes, from large-group workshops to executive off-sites, turning ambiguous problems into clear, structured outputs. You’ll develop and maintain a library of AI-enabled delivery tools, covering research automation, financial analysis, proposal generation and meeting synthesis, and use them across engagements to accelerate delivery and improve quality. You’ll mine the firm’s internal knowledge base to strengthen credibility and track record positioning for new business, and you’ll act as a bridge between delivery teams and the firm’s growing AI tooling capability.

Must-have requirements

Here’s what the job requires, rephrased from the posting.

  • MSc in Information Systems for Business Performance (or an equivalent degree), plus related undergraduate study
  • Proven management consulting experience across traditional strategy and operating-model advisory or hands-on delivery in a boutique environment
  • Certifications in process and delivery: Six Sigma Yellow Belt; Certified Scrum Product Owner; Certified Scrum Master
  • Direct experience with Western Australian health sector and government stakeholder engagement, including state-level departments and regional health or research institutions
  • Practical ability to design and deploy AI-assisted delivery tooling within a professional services context, not just use AI as an end consumer

Nice-to-haves

There are no additional nice-to-haves listed beyond the items above.

Pay, perks and practical details

The role is full-time and onsite in Perth, AU. Specific salary, benefits or travel expectations aren’t disclosed in the posting.

Tips to help you stand out in this role

Tailor your resume to showcase projects where you led or structured workstreams across strategy refresh, operating model design, governance advisory, or proposal development for health or government clients in WA.

Highlight concrete examples of AI-enabled delivery tooling you built or deployed, what you created (for example, research automation, financial analysis, proposal generation, meeting synthesis) and how it improved engagement speed or quality.

Be prepared to discuss your direct experience with WA health sector stakeholders and government departments, including how you navigated regional health or research institutions and what outcomes you achieved.

Ask a targeted question about how Sia integrates AI tooling into client engagements and how they measure the impact of those tools on delivering insights and outcomes.
