Green By Nature is hiring a Brushcutting Team Member for a role in Dandenong, supporting council roadsides and green spaces. Responsibilities include brushcutting, light herbicide work, basic horticulture, operating and maintaining equipment, and upholding safety standards. Ideal candidates have landscaping or gardening experience, fitness for lifting and bending, a valid manual drivers licence, White Card, and are willing to obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check. Must be comfortable outdoors in all weather and able to work well in a team. About Role

As a member of the brushcutting team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across our various commercial sites or council-controlled roadsides and open spaces. 

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities include:

• Servicing of council roadside assets across municipality of greater Dandenong
• Role will include brushcutting, some herbicide application and light horticulture work
• Operate various equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Ensure open spaces are maintained to a high standard.
• Assist with other groundskeeping tasks as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

About You

• Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field will be looked upon favourably.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Mush have a valid Drivers licence
• Have a National Police Check & Working with Children's Check (willing to obtain)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid Manual Drivers Licence.
• White Card
