Business Analyst - 18-month Fixed Term Contract
Koninklijke BAM GroepKoninklijke BAM Groep is hiring a Business Analyst for an 18-month fixed-term contract through BAM UK & Ireland. The role is onsite in Farnborough, England, with the possibility to work from any BAM office as needed. BAM is focused on building a sustainable tomorrow by delivering important infrastructure and high-quality buildings across Europe.
The Business Analyst will document the current “as-is” business processes and contribute to shaping the target solution across process, data and systems to ensure the business requirements are met and continuity is maintained. This opportunity suits someone who can translate complex needs into practical design and collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in a major ERP-enabled program.
The right candidate will appreciate a role that sits at the intersection of business, data and IT, helping the company move from existing ways of working toward standardized, efficient processes that support the programme’s goals.
Shaping the business from the ground up
In practice, you’ll look for opportunities to simplify how work gets done by applying standard process patterns while ensuring the future solution remains adaptable to business needs. You’ll help manage change by building Change Impact Assessments and Plans and support the business team (BPO and SMEs) to promote quality delivery, standardisation, and adoption of the S4 Enabled ERP solutions.
Working with BPOs to define Business Requirements and taking part in detailed design workshops, you’ll contribute knowledge to identify business impacts for Change Impact Assessments and help define Change Action Plans. You’ll participate in testing activities as required by the project, assist with the cutover plan and data checks, and provide first-level support to end users during Early Life Support. You’ll act as a critical link between Business Process, Change, Data and IT Streams, supporting master data requirements and leading business-process awareness sessions within your function to prepare people for the change.
Beyond that, you’ll support BPMs, SMEs and key functional contacts with documentation of system functionality for both AS-IS and TO-BE solutions, ensure cross-functional implications are addressed, and help stakeholders understand the business impact of the solution. You’ll engage in data purification and cleansing for the UK&I, facilitate User Acceptance Testing of the Template solution, and contribute to the validation of end user training materials while guiding users during Early Life Support.
