Bloomberg is hiring a Buy-Side OMS (AIM) Sales Specialist to grow Bloomberg AIM’s footprint in the Middle East and Africa from its Dubai base. This is a full-time, onsite role that focuses on hunting new business and shaping enterprise deals with institutional clients that rely on sophisticated investment workflows. The role sits within Bloomberg's Financial Solutions division, aligned with the Sales and Client Service area.

The Asset and Investment Manager (AIM) is Bloomberg’s global, multi-asset investment management platform that supports portfolio construction, trading, compliance and operations. It’s trusted by more than 14,000 investment professionals across 900+ institutional clients, including leading asset managers, pension funds, insurers and sovereign institutions, and helps firms manage investments with greater control and transparency across the lifecycle.

Reference number 10054467 is associated with this role in the Sales and Client Service area. The position is onsite in Dubai and is best suited for senior enterprise sales professionals who can engage C-suite executives and translate strategic priorities into a differentiated AIM proposition.

Shaping the AIM sales engine across MEA

You will own and execute the regional sales strategy for Bloomberg AIM, identifying priority markets, target institutions, competitive opportunities and paths to revenue across the Middle East and Africa.

You will build a solid pipeline and drive revenue through proactive prospecting, strategic account development and disciplined opportunity management, while engaging executives to secure commitments.

You will cultivate trusted relationships with senior decision makers, CIOs, COOs, Heads of Trading, Heads of Compliance, Heads of Operations and technology leaders, and learn each prospect’s investment strategy and operating model to tailor a differentiated sales proposition.

You will lead complex, enterprise sales cycles that involve multiple stakeholders across investment, trading, operations, compliance, technology, procurement and executive leadership, guiding talks from first engagement to contract execution.

You will position AIM as an enterprise IBOR, order management and trading platform, articulating its value across portfolio construction, order generation, multi-asset execution, pre- and post-trade compliance, cash positioning and global market connectivity.

You will partner with Product Managers, Implementation teams and Bloomberg Terminal Sales to run evaluations, proofs of concept and other collaborative engagements that demonstrate tangible ROI to clients.

You will navigate commercial, procurement and legal discussions to move contracts toward close, while maintaining rigorous pipeline discipline and accurate forecasts against ambitious targets.

You will bring market intelligence and client insight back into Bloomberg to influence product strategy, competitive positioning and go-to-market priorities, and you will represent the firm at industry events and executive forums.

What you bring to the table

  • Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities and win new business.
  • Experience crafting and executing strategic territory plans across large, sophisticated financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of buy-side investment and trading workflows, including portfolio management, order generation, multi-asset trading, FIX connectivity, pre- and post-trade compliance, cash management and IBOR architecture.
  • Solid commercial acumen and the ability to translate technology and workflow capabilities into clear strategic and financial value for senior executives.
  • Demonstrated success managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving C-suite sponsors, business users, technology teams, procurement and legal.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a track record of closing high-value, complex enterprise deals.
  • Excellent executive presence, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior decision makers.
  • A highly proactive, resilient and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently while coordinating across a global organization.
  • Strong knowledge of the institutional investment landscape across the Middle East & Africa, including asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurers and other asset owners.

Tips to help you stand out in this Dubai launch

Put your strongest enterprise software sales wins up front on your resume, especially where you beat targets in OMS/EMS/IBOR or front-to-middle office tech sold to institutional buy-side clients.

Show results that prove you can originate opportunities and win new business, with concrete numbers and timeframes.

Explain how you’ve navigated long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including procurement and legal steps, and highlight negotiations that ended in large enterprise closes.

Craft a tight narrative around how AIM’s IBOR, order management and trading capabilities create measurable value for MEA institutions, and be ready to reference region-specific examples.
