Aramark is seeking a full-time Dietary Aide to join AgeCare Seton’s dining team in Calgary. This on-site role supports residents with nutritious, well-prepared meals while upholding stringent safety and sanitation standards. It’s a good fit for someone who takes pride in kitchen work, enjoys a steady routine, and wants to contribute to a caring senior living environment. The company behind the role is Aramark, a global provider of food and facilities services that serves millions of guests across 15 countries. They emphasize equal opportunity and opportunities for growth, and in the AgeCare Seton kitchen, the dietary team helps translate a planned menu into tasty, balanced meals and keeps daily operations running smoothly.

In this Role, the emphasis is on practical, hands-on work that keeps residents well fed and satisfied. The team relies on a reliable, organized approach to meal prep, safe handling and storage, accurate record-keeping, and collaborative problem solving with the on-site manager. If you’re someone who can stay calm during busy meal times, follow procedures, and take pride in presenting appealing dishes, this could be a strong next step in your food service career.

What You’ll Do In The AgeCare Seton Kitchen

Daily activities kick off with a quick check-in with the manager to confirm the day’s menu and the plan for meal service. The role involves preparing quality foods and baked goods according to the planned menu, and handling beverages as required, while maintaining daily records that verify transactions and meal preparation. You’ll keep track of what a meal includes and how it’s assembled, helping to ensure consistency and resident satisfaction.

Serving meals on schedule and in line with department policies, storing food in a sanitary and accurate manner, and using kitchen equipment safely, especially knives, will be ongoing parts of the job. You’ll contribute to the timely preparation of a variety of items, with attention to garnishes that enhance presentation and guest enjoyment. You’ll also coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment, while keeping your work and storage areas clean and organized. Adherence to all food safety regulations, uniform policies, and PPE requirements is expected, and there can be physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. A few tasks stretch across multiple areas, like sweeping, mopping, and ware washing, all in service of maintaining a balanced and safe environment.
