CHT Onewa is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its not-for-profit care homes network in Birkenhead. In this resident-centred role you will conduct initial and ongoing clinical assessments, plan deliver and delegate nursing care, maintain documentation, review care plans, and build strong relationships with residents, whānau and allied health staff while supporting the care team. The ideal candidate holds a current NZ RN practising certificate, shows genuine compassion for older people, demonstrates strong clinical and communication skills, and is confident leading others. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Registered Nurse with us, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional, resident-centred care. Every day you will:
• Complete initial and ongoing clinical assessments
• Plan, deliver and delegate high-quality nursing care
• Maintain accurate documentation and monitor health changes
• Review and adjust care plans for safety and effectiveness
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, whānau, and allied health professionals
• Support, mentor, and guide our care team

What We’re Looking For
• A current NZ Registered Nurse practising certificate
• Genuine compassion and a passion for caring for older people
• Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
• Confidence in leading and supporting care staff

• Comfort using standard IT and clinical systems
