€14,400 - €14,400 EUR yearly

Greenly, a climate‑tech company founded in 2019 by Alexis, Matthieu and Arnaud, is recruiting a Climate Data Analyst Intern in Paris. The role sits in Greenly’s Climate Delivery team and runs for six months onsite in the French capital. It’s ideal for someone eager to roll up their sleeves from day one, contributing to real client projects rather than classroom work.

Greenly operates at the intersection of data and climate action. It’s a global leader in carbon accounting, proudly B‑Corp certified and part of the French Tech 120. The suite blends smart data collection with automation to help organizations measure, reduce, and report emissions, supported by in‑house climate experts. More than 4,000 companies in 30+ countries rely on Greenly to guide their climate strategy, including carbon assessments, lifecycle analyses, SBTi trajectories, and CSRD and CBAM compliance. The company counts 200+ people from 40+ nationalities across offices in Paris, Stockholm, London, Barcelona, and New York, and has tracked over 200 million tons of CO2 on its platform with ambitions of 10,000 clients and one billion tons under management.

Within this environment, the Climate Delivery team focuses on guiding clients through their most strategic climate and sustainability challenges. They blend analytical rigor with a strong customer success mindset, acting as trusted advisors who work closely with Product, Support, Sales and Marketing to ensure client outcomes stay robust.

Daily rhythm of the climate delivery team

As a Climate Data Analyst Intern, you’ll join the Climate Delivery team for a six‑month period and contribute from day one. You won’t be shadowing; you’ll work alongside senior Climate Strategy Experts on client projects and the internal tooling that underpins them. Your days will mix hands‑on data work with client‑facing activities, using Greenly’s software to calculate emissions data and help clients gain a clear picture of their footprint. You’ll support project managers with platform setup, targeted analyses, benchmarks, and action‑oriented reduction plans, while helping ensure that the data behind every delivery is accurate and easy to understand for clients.

In practice, you’ll take ownership of data collection, run consistency checks, and perform analysis for a portfolio of clients. You’ll contribute to quality checks on GHG assessments and LCA projects, help design templates that increase client autonomy on quality checks, and share feedback with the Product team to improve processes and tools. The aim is to deliver reliable outputs, support client meetings, and push for practical improvements to how data drives decisions.

What you’ll need to join the team

  • You’re pursuing or have recently completed a Master’s in engineering, environmental sciences, data, or a related field
  • You have knowledge of GHG accounting and climate regulation topics (GHG Protocol, LCA, SBTi, CSRD) from studies or prior experience
  • You’re a detail‑oriented problem solver who enjoys digging into a dataset
  • You bring strong Excel skills and have some exposure to Python, SQL or BI tools
  • You’re comfortable using AI tools such as Claude or Gemini
  • You can explain a complex methodology clearly to someone without technical background
  • You’re bilingual in French and English, with strong speaking and writing ability (C1/C1)

You may also have: prior exposure to climate frameworks or sustainability consulting, and experience with Python/SQL/BI tools would be a bonus.

You might not be a fit if fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities overwhelm you.

Pay, perks and practical details

The internship offers a monthly gross salary of €1.200. The role is based in Paris, in beautiful offices in the 9th arrondissement, and you’ll work onsite. Greenly provides top‑notch tools to help you perform, along with 50% Navigo transport reimbursement and sustainable lunch vouchers via Ekip. You’ll also get partial coverage for a Gymlib subscription, and you’ll join a culture of autonomy, transparency and collaboration with a team of highly talented people.

Note that this is a full‑time, six‑month internship based in Paris.

Three practical tips for this internship

Put a project at the top of your résumé that shows end‑to‑end data work on climate data, how you collected data, performed quality checks, and presented results to a non‑expert audience. This should demonstrate your ability to handle real client work rather than theoretical exercises.

When you describe must‑have skills, spotlight a concrete example where you applied a calculation methodology to a dataset and explain the logic in plain language. Show the steps you followed and the outcomes, not just the numbers.

Be ready to present a case study to Antoine Vinault, the Climate Strategy Expert Team Lead, and to participate in a final interview with Nils Langot. Think about how you would translate a technical approach into clear recommendations for a client, and prepare a short story about a data project that ended with a tangible client benefit.

Consider a thoughtful question to close: ask about a recent data quality improvement tool or template the team used, and how interns could contribute to expanding it or tailoring it for more client autonomy.

The recruitment steps to join Greenly

First, there will be a light interview to get to know each other and assess fit. Then you’ll prepare and present a case study exercise to Antoine Vinault, the Climate Strategy Expert Team Lead. If that goes well, you’ll meet with Nils for a Final Interview. A reference will be requested to complete the recruitment process. You’ll be welcomed during onboarding week. For practical reasons, it’s best to communicate as much as possible via the Teamtailor platform rather than LinkedIn or other channels.
