Bombardier is seeking a contract Flight Control Laws Design, Development and Analysis engineer for the Fly by Wire aircraft program based in Québec. The CLaws team designs, tests and certifies the flight control laws for the Global 7000/8000 and the Ecojet BWB experimental aircraft, with a focus on reducing pilot workload, improving handling qualities and providing envelope protections while validating a new primary flight computer. To succeed, you should hold a Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering, have model based CLaws testing experience, be familiar with DO-178B or newer and ARP 4754, and be proficient in Matlab and Simulink with some C/C++ programming. Highlight tangible project results, teamwork and your ability to work independently, plus relevant aircraft experience and a readiness to contribute in a contract role.

The CLaws team is responsible for the design, development, testing and certification of the Fly-by-Wire (FBW) flight control laws for the next generation Bombardier aircraft which at present includes the Global 7000/8000 business jet and the Ecojet Blended Wing body (BWB) experimental aircraft. The CLaws provide a means to manage the aircraft response due to pilot inputs, to reduce pilot workload and to meet the handling quality and performance/structural loads requirements along with providing additional flight and structural envelope protections.
Preference will be given to applicants with commercial aircraft experience and additional programming skills such as C++
