Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with a clear example of a customer interaction where you greeted someone, assessed their needs, and helped them choose products to finish a project and close the sale.
In interviews, back up must-have skills with a concrete story about a time you guided a customer through a complete project, from initial ask to final purchase, and quantify any positive outcomes if you can.
Be ready to talk about how you stay safe on the floor, what safety training you’ve completed and a time you addressed a hazard or reported unsafe conditions promptly.
When you ask questions, consider one about growth paths within the store, such as opportunities to move into Pro Account Sales or other multi-department roles, or how cross-department training works here.
