About the role

Ready to put your mechanical skills to work in a hands-on role with a global industry leader? We’re on the lookout for a Diesel Fitter to join our South Surface Coal team in Boggabri, NSW, supporting critical operations that keep our sites moving.

You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the reliability of our mobile fleet and plant equipment – working in a practical, fast-paced environment where your expertise makes a real impact.

What you will be doing

• You will perform scheduled servicing, repairs, and breakdown maintenance on mobile equipment and plant;
• To maintain and support Mobile Manufacturing Units and fixed plant in line with operational standards;
• Provide technical support both on-site and remotely;
• To assist with equipment troubleshooting and fault finding to minimise downtime;
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying recurring issues;
• Support and mentor team members and contractors while promoting a strong safety culture.

What you will bring

• Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Heavy Vehicle / Diesel Fitting) or equivalent;
• An experience working with mobile plant equipment and mechanical systems;
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems;
• A strong understanding of maintenance processes and safety procedures;
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and follow structured procedures;
• Willingness to obtain required clearances and permits.
