Anker Innovations, a global name in smart accessories, is looking for a Direct Retail Operations Lead to steer its Australian retail efforts. The role is based in Melbourne and is on site, full-time, giving you a hands-on chance to shape how products appear and perform in stores.

If you enjoy turning strategic plans into real-world results, building solid partnerships with local suppliers, and guiding frontline teams toward clear, measurable outcomes, this could be a great fit. The company is seeking a practical, collaborative operator who can translate ideas into smooth in-store execution and sustained improvements across Australian markets.

This opportunity suits someone who thrives in field-facing roles, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and wants to influence the way products are rolled out to customers in Australia.

Day-to-day momentum in Melbourne

You’ll work closely with local market teams to design and produce compelling in-store displays, carefully selecting high-quality local suppliers and building long-term strategic partnerships to ensure both outstanding quality and cost-effectiveness. You’ll also oversee the production timeline, coordinating from initial concept through to store rollout, to keep everything moving smoothly and on schedule.

In addition, you’ll design and refine the core mechanisms that govern store visits, creating standardized processes, checklists, and reporting practices that bring structure and clarity to store management across the network.

Another major focus is building and maintaining a promoter management system. This means identifying capable promoter vendors, developing training on product knowledge, and establishing supervision mechanisms to maintain frontline execution quality and efficiency.

You’ll also seek out and drive innovative initiatives and cross-sell opportunities that lift terminal sales, continually testing new approaches and scaling the ones that deliver growth.

What you’ll need to join the team

Must-have qualifications include the following:

  • Class of 2027 graduate with a bachelor’s degree or higher; any major is welcome, with preference for marketing, business administration, retail, or related fields
  • Business-level English for everyday communication with teams and partners
  • Willingness to take on global regional assignments as needed
  • Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and ability to execute plans
  • Learning agility, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive, responsible mindset
  • Comfort with data and logical thinking; related internship experience is a bonus

Pay, perks and practical details

The position is full-time and on-site in Melbourne, placing you directly with the local teams and partners.

A valid work visa for the country/region where the position is located is required in order to be considered.

These practical details help set expectations for the daily workflow, collaboration with market colleagues, and the overall cadence of rollout projects in Australian retail channels.

Guidance for applicants

When you craft your resume, front-load experiences that show you’ve turned in-store display concepts into executable plans, including how you partnered with local suppliers and managed production timelines from design to rollout.

To prove your must-have skills, pull together concrete examples of business English communications, any experience coordinating across regions, and how you used data to inform decisions or improve processes.

In interviews, be ready to walk through a project where you built or refined an SOP for store visits, including the checklists and the reporting you used to monitor progress. Also be prepared to discuss promoter training and how you ensured frontline staff consistently delivered the expected standards.

Smart question to ask: how does the company measure frontline execution quality today, and what role does the promoter training program play in improving terminal sales across markets?
