Electromechanical Tooling Specialist | Dubbo NSW
CMA CGMCEVA Logistics is a global force in supply chain solutions, operating in more than 170 countries with over 110,000 people across 1,500 sites. They’re known for imagining smarter, safer and more sustainable ways to move the world in motion. In Dubbo, they’re launching a new Contract Logistics operation to support the renewable energy sector and are looking for an Electromechanical Tooling Specialist to join the team on a hybrid arrangement. The role is ideal for someone who loves hands-on technical work and wants to contribute to wind-turbine field operations while keeping meticulous records.
You don’t need wind industry experience to apply. CEVA welcomes applicants from industrial maintenance, mechanical fitting, electrical maintenance, field service, workshops and other practical technical backgrounds who can bring strong fault-finding skills and a willingness to learn specialised tooling. As part of bringing this operation to life, successful candidates will undertake customer-specific training in Newcastle during November and December 2026 before starting permanently in Dubbo, with travel and accommodation costs covered by CEVA.
What you’ll be doing on the ground
In the role, you’ll be hands-on with inspecting, servicing and preparing specialised tooling and equipment used in wind turbine field work. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and keep accurate records for assets, maintenance, calibration and inventory. You’ll troubleshoot a range of equipment, coordinate calibration and safety testing, and ensure tooling is ready for field deployment by verifying, packing and dispatching it. The job also involves safely handling bulky tooling and supporting warehouse operations and tooling requests, all while ensuring traceability of equipment condition, availability and certification status.
Beyond the day-to-day tasks, the position covers the full tooling lifecycle, from receipt and storage to inspection, servicing, preparation and dispatch, so you’ll get to see how every part of the process fits into a reliable field operation.
What you’ll need to bring and what helps
The must-have side is clear: you should have practical, hands-on experience maintaining or repairing mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic equipment; a relevant trade, vocational or technical qualification, or equivalent hands-on experience; strong fault-finding and practical problem-solving skills; confidence reading technical drawings and manuals and following maintenance procedures; and a solid approach to maintaining asset and inventory records.

In addition to proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
What you’ll get in return
Alongside a challenging and rewarding environment, the role offers competitive compensation and a suite of benefits designed to support wellbeing and balance. The position recognises personal wellbeing with the CEVAwell program, an Employee Assistance Program, Volunteer Time Off and Life & Total Permanent Disability Insurance. Work-life balance is supported through flexible, hybrid and remote work options, plus additional paid parental leave for primary carers.
Professional development is a focus, with opportunities for secondment and internal mobility, study assistance, leadership and mentoring programs, and access to MyLearning, a global online platform with more than 1,000 courses, plus early career pathways and more. Financial wellbeing is looked after with exclusive partner offers, novated leasing, annual safety workwear reimbursement, employee referral incentives, service recognition and short-term incentive plans.
Diversity is core to the company’s values, and CEVA Logistics is an equal opportunity employer that welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
Tips for applicants
Lead with your hands-on electromechanical maintenance background. Put your most relevant experience at the top of your resume, especially roles in industrial maintenance, mechanical fitting, electrical maintenance or field service, and make sure you show how you’ve handled fault-finding on mechanical, electrical or hydraulic systems.
In interviews, prove the must-have skills with concrete examples: how you’ve followed technical drawings and manuals, how you’ve logged maintenance and inventory records, and how you’ve approached troubleshooting across multiple systems. Be ready to discuss how you would approach coordinating calibration or safety testing in a real-world setting.
Be prepared to talk about the Newcastle training period. Explain your willingness to travel and relocate for the customer-specific training in late 2026, and how you’ll apply what you learn to the Dubbo deployment.
Finish with a smart question. A good one could be: what does the rollout plan look like for the new Dubbo tooling operation, and which milestones should you aim to hit in the first six months after permanent start?
