An Enrolled Nurse with DOSA experience is invited to join Nexus Hospitals at Corymbia Day Hospital on a casual or part time basis, enjoying Monday to Friday shifts with no weekends, public holidays, overnights or on call. In this role you will work in a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence based pre op and DOSA care, ensure the facility and equipment support safe surgery, prioritise patient safety, provide clear discharge education, and support colleagues while championing continuous improvement. Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
• Deliver evidence-based care: Monitor patient wellbeing and administer safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each stage of their hospital stay.
• Prepare for safe surgery: Ensure the facility, equipment and clinical environment are ready to support safe, efficient surgical care.
• Prioritise and monitor patient safety: Maintain clear team communication, assess patient progress, respond promptly to changes or complications, and keep patient safety central to all decisions.
• Support recovery at home: Provide clear education, guidance and reassurance so patients feel confident managing their recovery after discharge.
• Guide and support colleagues: fostering confidence, teamwork and safe practice.
• Champion improvement: Promote continuous improvement, safety and excellence across all areas of the hospital.
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
• Experience in Pre-op/ DOSA in a surgical hospital setting
• Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled nurse
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with patients, doctors, staff and other stakeholders
• Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
• Experience in our hospital’s specialties desirable
• Experience in a fast-paced day/ short stay hospital environment desirable
