Full-time
On-site
Stuttgart, DE

Exyte is expanding its on-site team in Stuttgart, Germany, by adding an Expert EHS to support a range of high-tech projects. The role sits with a dedicated EHS group and offers the chance to work across multiple assignments with a professional team that emphasises safety, health and environmental compliance. It’s well suited for someone who likes hands-on problem solving, coordinating with contractors, and shaping safety programs on site. For questions, you can reach Lisa Kussmaul via [email protected].

Based in Stuttgart, you’ll be part of the Exyte team delivering complex high-tech projects. The daily work involves advising management, project management and construction teams on EHS topics, coordinating contractor safety managers and safety advisors, and serving as the functional lead for Exyte Project EHS Advisors and coordinators. You’ll support the project manager and help implement Exyte’s core EHS values, prepare contractually required EHS documentation, and organise weekly safety coordination meetings with clear records of actions and outcomes. Collaboration with local authorities is part of the role to ensure compliance across sites.

Shaping safety on every project

On a typical day, you will guide safety decisions across project lifecycles, ensuring that EHS considerations are integrated into project plans and execution. You’ll bring together management, project and construction teams to address EHS topics, and you’ll coordinate the on-site safety professionals who support those teams. The role also includes organizing and running weekly safety coordination meetings, documenting the results, and tracking follow-through on a regular basis. Close cooperation with local authorities ensures that activities stay aligned with regulations and site-specific requirements.

In this position you’ll act as the bridge between project delivery and safety, embedding Exyte’s EHS values into everyday practice and maintaining contractually required documentation. You’ll be comfortable interacting with people from varying cultural backgrounds and different levels of responsibility, and you’ll help keep communication channels open so safety actions move from plan to action efficiently.

  • Experience coordinating with local authorities on projects
  • Proven experience leading EHS activities across culturally diverse teams
  • Familiarity with safety management in high-tech environments

Pay, perks and practicalities

The role is full-time and onsite in Stuttgart. A willingness to travel and spend extended periods on project sites is part of the job. The posting does not disclose salary or specific benefits, so expectations around compensation will likely be discussed during the interview process.

Tips to stand out in this EHS role

Lead with your most relevant EHS leadership experiences, especially where you advised management and guided safety decisions on high-tech or industrial projects. In your resume, describe how you coordinated safety managers and safety advisors and how you helped move EHS initiatives from plan to action on a project.

Show concrete examples of the EHS documentation you’ve prepared and of safety meetings you organised, including how actions were tracked and closed out. Be ready to discuss how you implemented Exyte’s EHS values in real projects and how you aligned safety practices with contract requirements.

Demonstrate your collaboration skills by sharing experiences working with local authorities or other external stakeholders on safety matters, and highlight any cross-cultural teamwork you’ve managed on large-scale assignments.

Finally, be prepared to talk about your language capabilities and your travel readiness. If you have experience staying on site for long periods, give a short, specific example that shows how you maintained safety standards and project momentum in that setting.
