Prime Communications is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Consultant to join its onsite team in Xenia, Ohio. As the largest authorized AT&T retailer in the country, Prime operates more than 2,000 locations across 48 states and prioritizes promoting from within, giving driven team members real opportunities to advance into leadership roles and explore new markets. The role focuses on helping customers stay connected through smart recommendations and friendly, in-person service.
In this position, you’ll be the face of the AT&T brand in a busy retail environment, guiding customers through the latest wireless technology, entertainment options, and connectivity solutions that fit their needs and lifestyle. This is more than a job, it’s a pathway to building a long-term career with a company that supports growth and success, and many of Prime’s leaders began as Retail Sales Consultants.
In-store momentum that matters
The day-to-day centers on creating a welcoming, high-energy shopping experience where customers feel heard and valued. You’ll engage with people as they browse, help them find devices and plans that meet their specific use cases, and work toward sales goals in a commission-based structure. You’ll also lend a hand with store operations, collaborate with a motivated team, and represent the AT&T brand in the local community.
What it takes to succeed here
- Clear, respectful communication and a positive, professional approach
- Prior customer-facing experience, with retail or sales work preferred
- A competitive, goal-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Enthusiasm for delivering standout experiences and building lasting relationships
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and other business needs as required
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned store
- At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- A high school diploma or GED
- Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours per week, including evenings and weekends as needed
Pay, perks and the practical bits
Prime offers base pay plus a competitive commission plan, with $40,000 to $50,000+ per year potential based on performance. There’s a New Hire Ramp-Up Bonus during your first 3 months, and the role includes training and ongoing career growth opportunities. Benefits cover Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, and a 401(k) plan, along with employee discounts on AT&T plans. For the practical side of the job, the steadiest path involves a schedule that can include evenings and weekends to align with customer demand and store hours.
