Huawei Europe is looking for a driven early-career project professional to join its Graduate Program as a Project Control Manager. Huawei is a global leader in ICT infrastructure and smart devices, with solutions spanning telecom networks, IT, smart devices and cloud services. The company employs more than 207,000 people and operates across more than 170 countries and regions. This program is an on-site, full-time path in Boulogne-Billancourt, designed for individuals who want to develop a solid foundation in project control within a large, multinational tech environment.

As a Graduate Program Project Control Manager, you’ll work to keep multiple projects on track, balancing scope, schedule and budget while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. The role suits someone who enjoys structured planning, clear stakeholder communication and hands-on problem solving, and who wants to build leadership skills through practical experience and formal training.

In this on-site role, you’ll be embedded in Huawei Europe’s project ecosystem and interact with clients and vendors as you help define objectives, allocate resources, and monitor progress. If you’re early in your career but already have a taste for coordinating complex activities and driving delivery, this could be a strong fit.

Guiding projects from planning to delivery

The day-to-day involves aligning internal resources and third-party partners to execute several projects smoothly, always aiming to deliver on time, within scope and within budget. You’ll help set project scope and objectives with input from stakeholders, ensure the necessary people and materials are available, and create detailed plans to monitor progress. You’ll manage changes to scope, schedule and costs with appropriate verification methods, gauge performance with established project tools, and escalate issues to management when needed. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and other parties is part of the job, as is identifying and mitigating risks to keep projects on track.

Documentation plays a key role, so you’ll create and maintain thorough project records and regularly meet with clients to clarify requirements and expectations. You’ll also delegate tasks according to the strengths and experience of junior staff, track long- and short-term goals, and adjust constraints based on financial analysis to meet budgets. Leadership development, ongoing training, and opportunities to share plans with clients and staff are encouraged as part of the program.

What the team is looking for

A few capabilities and experiences will set you up for success in this program:

  • You have practical experience coordinating projects and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • You’re comfortable using Microsoft Office and MS Project to plan, monitor and report on progress.
  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and can demonstrate solid organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively with clients and internal teams, with strong written and spoken English.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE II would be an advantage.

Compensation and practical details

The program offers a competitive salary package and a path for professional growth within a major multinational telecom company. It also includes training opportunities across Europe to support ongoing development. The position is full-time and on-site in Boulogne-Billancourt, France.

Important: To be considered for this role, applicants must be eligible to work and live in (country).

Tips for applicants

Put your strongest project-related experience up front on your résumé, especially examples where you coordinated teams or managed resources and budgets. Show not just what you did, but the impact you had on timeliness, scope and costs, with specific figures where possible.

Demonstrate how you’ve proven the must-have skills by sharing concrete stories of client-facing work, stakeholder management and clear, concise written and verbal communication in English. Mention the tools you’ve used (MS Office and MS Project) and any successful project controls you’ve implemented.

Be ready to discuss how you approach risk and change management, and bring a few short examples of how you’ve handled shifts in scope or schedules while maintaining quality and client satisfaction.

When you get a chance to ask questions, consider asking how the graduate program supports earning formal certifications like PMP or PRINCE II, or how the team collaborates with third-party vendors on complex projects.
