XPENG, the electric vehicle maker expanding its footprint in Europe, is recruiting for a senior fleet leader to run the UK operation. The Head of Fleet-UK will be based in London, working full-time and onsite to build XPENG’s relationships with major UK clients. This role suits a proven B2B automotive sales leader who enjoys steering large accounts and shaping a fleet strategy for an innovative EV brand.

The person taking this job will own the UK fleet strategy, turning client needs into tailored energy vehicle solutions and guiding the end-to-end sales process from pricing and quotations to contracts and project rollouts. You’ll collaborate across marketing, dealers and cross-functional teams to promote the brand through launches, test drives and corporate roadshows, while ensuring smooth order delivery, financing options and after-sales support. If you like working with corporate, government and leasing clients and you’re comfortable coordinating with regional partners to boost B2B performance, this could be a fit.

The role calls for frequent travel and a fast-paced environment, all while representing XPENG in the UK market from its London base. Onsite work in London is a must, and you’ll be expected to drive meaningful growth with major clients under a structured, data-backed approach.

Day-to-day rhythm in the fleet leadership role

On a typical day, you’ll identify and cultivate major UK clients across corporate accounts, government projects, leasing firms and fleet operators, translating their needs into repeatable XPENG energy solutions. You’ll lead the development and execution of sales plans designed to hit annual and quarterly targets, owning major client quotations, contract negotiations and project deployments. You’ll partner with marketing to stage brand activities such as launches and roadshows, coordinate with regional dealers to strengthen their B2B capabilities, and oversee the flow of orders, financing options and after-sales service to keep customers satisfied. You’ll also turn sales data into actionable insights to help leadership make better decisions.

The role also requires coordinating cross-functionally so that product introductions, customer journeys, and service touchpoints align with client expectations, ensuring a smooth delivery cycle from initial engagement to post-implementation follow-up.

What XPENG expects from you

The must-haves include a bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; at least seven years in B2B automotive sales, key account management, and key account sales leadership; solid familiarity with the UK automotive market, with a preference for candidates who already have corporate, fleet or government client connections; strong business negotiation and project management capabilities; the ability to travel frequently and operate in a fast-moving environment; good English communication skills; and proficiency with CRM systems, Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves: none listed.

Pay, benefits and practical details

This is a London-based, onsite, full-time position. The listing does not include salary, benefits or schedule details.

Because the role involves frequent client meetings and coordination with dealers and partners, be prepared for regular travel as part of the job.

Tips for applicants

Lead your resume with your seven-plus years in B2B automotive sales and key account management, especially any work with UK corporate, fleet or government clients. If you can quantify impact, front-load figures like targets achieved, contract values secured, or successful project implementations to show you can move metrics in the UK market.

Demonstrate the must-haves with concrete stories: show a major negotiation that closed a large deal, and outline a project you managed from pricing through delivery and after-sales support, including any cross-functional teamwork with marketing and dealers.

For interviews, come prepared with examples of how you’ve built and maintained long-term client relationships, how you’ve configured energy-vehicle solutions for complex accounts, and how you’ve used data to steer decisions for leadership. You might be asked to discuss a scenario where you balanced price, delivery risk, and customer satisfaction in a high-stakes deal.

Ask a sharp question about how XPENG defines a “major client” and how the Head of Fleet-UK collaborates with regional dealers to strengthen B2B capabilities, so you can understand the practical impact of the role in the UK market.
