Technical & Warranty Manager-UK
XPENGXPENG, a leading electric vehicle company with a growing overseas business sector, is looking for a Technical & Warranty Manager to anchor its UK operations. The London-based, full-time role is on-site, putting you at the heart of after-sales support, dealer collaboration, and warranty governance. If you enjoy solving technical puzzles, coordinating cross-functional teams, and shaping service processes, this could be a strong match.
You’ll work with a network of dealerships and service centers, bridging the gap between front-line repair work and the headquarters’ technical and warranty teams. The position suits someone who communicates clearly, manages multiple stakeholders, and helps drive improvements that impact customer satisfaction and product quality. It’s a hands-on role that combines diagnostics, data analysis, training, and process optimisation in a fast-moving, cross-border environment.
XPENG’s UK team seeks a professional who can contribute to technical support, warranty management, dealer training, and continuous process enhancement. The right candidate will bring a solid foundation in automotive engineering and a track record of operating effectively in an automotive after-sales setting.
Steering after-sales excellence in London
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll provide practical technical support to dealerships and service centers, guiding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and complex issues. When problems prove stubborn, you’ll coordinate with the headquarters’ technical unit to implement upgrades and share knowledge through bulletins, service information, and repair guides. You’ll also manage upcoming model launches by preparing the necessary technical documentation and service readiness activities.
Your responsibilities extend to warranty and claims management, where you’ll oversee review, verification, submission, and settlement processes. You’ll monitor the quality of dealership claims, ensure alignment with established policies, and analyse trends and failure modes to flag potential product quality issues. Collaboration with the HQ warranty and quality teams will be routine, as will conducting audits and supporting dealer improvements. Keeping costs in check while preserving customer satisfaction is a core part of the role.
Dealer management sits alongside technical duties, with ongoing communication to handle warranty matters, support capability building, and the roll-out of operational standards. You’ll help organise training sessions and after-sales workshops for dealers and technicians, and you’ll gather market feedback to inform service enhancements. Finally, you’ll prepare regular reports on warranty performance, technical cases, and dealer service operations, while helping to refine after-sales processes and SOPs to stay compliant with local regulations and company policies.

Tips for applicants
Lead your resume with the fact you have at least five years in automotive after-sales or service operations, and air the specific degree you hold in automotive or mechanical engineering. Make your technical and warranty management experience stand out by tying it to dealer collaborations, diagnostic work, and claims handling across a real-world product line.
When you describe your must-have capabilities, include a concise example of a warranty process you owned, from intake and verification through settlement, and a scenario where your analysis helped uncover a recurring issue or quality trend that led to a product or service improvement. If you have OEM, distributor, or dealer service experience, spell out how you partnered with those teams to reduce cycle times or improve service quality.
Prepare for interviews by walking through a recent complex diagnostic case you led. Be ready to discuss how you coordinated with HQ teams, what data you analysed, what actions you recommended, and how you measured the impact on customer satisfaction and cost control. Expect questions about how you organize technical training and how you would structure an after-sales SOP to align with local regulations and XPENG’s standards.
Have a thoughtful question ready for the interviewer that shows you’ve thought about the UK setup: you could ask how the UK team collaborates with the headquarters’ warranty and quality units, what KPIs matter most for warranty performance, or how the company prioritizes recalls and product improvements at the regional level.
