Xsolla, a global fintech and commerce partner for the video game industry, is expanding its Capital Markets footprint in the Gulf. The firm is hiring a Head of Investor Capital and Relations for the Middle East to build the Gulf franchise from the ground up, with executive sponsorship and a regional remit that starts in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. This is a full-time, onsite role that comes with a significant travel component and a clear path to shaping a durable regional network.

The person in this position will own senior coverage of the region’s sovereign wealth funds, government-related entities, and major family offices, while leading the office setup and hub decisions between DIFC and ADGM. Collaboration with counsel and the government relations workstreams will be part of knitting together a Gulf franchise that aligns capital access with strategic financing opportunities for Xsolla’s investment vehicles and deal flow. It’s a builder’s role meant for someone who thrives when creating structure in new markets.

Xsolla is a global player in video game commerce and finance, with a leadership team guiding a growing capital markets platform that serves developers and publishers across markets. If you’re excited by the chance to establish a major regional footprint and convert government-aligned capital programs into lasting partnerships, this could be the right match. For context, learn more about Xsolla at xsolla.com.

Laying the groundwork for a Gulf franchise

You’ll be the region’s senior presence, cultivating access to sovereign wealth funds, government arms and family offices, and you’ll own the relationships that sit at the top of the capital ladder. You’ll also build GCC family office coverage and map out how governance, investment committees, and co-investment appetite operate within each institution, treating that intelligence as a strategic asset for the firm.

In practice, your daily rhythm includes steering regional fundraising and pre-marketing within private placement regimes, initiating and managing sovereign co-investment dialogues, and guiding the diligence process end to end, from data rooms to reference checks. You’ll advise on where the regional hub should sit, lead the office launch with Legal and Finance, and help align regulatory positioning with growth plans. You’ll work to turn visibility at priority investment forums into a steady pipeline, and you’ll build the regional team to sustain coverage and CRM standards as the franchise expands. Coordination with government relations will ensure capital coverage and institutional diplomacy reinforce each other, and you’ll shape the early team around a strategic, long-horizon plan.

Travel is a core part of the role, with roughly half of your time spent across the GCC and broader MENA, plus periodic trips to Los Angeles and New York as needed. The role is fully dedicated to the Gulf and will report to the Senior Vice President of Global Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships, with the initial structure including one direct report, an Regional Relationship Manager to be hired after the office launch.

  • Strong, verifiable connections inside GCC sovereign institutions and principal family offices, plus a track record of capital being raised, commitments secured, or strategic partnerships formed in the region.
  • A background that includes relationships across sovereign gaming, esports, and digital entertainment programs, ideally with a track record approaching or exceeding USD 500 million in capital formation in the region.
  • Working knowledge of regional regulatory landscapes relevant to fund marketing and private placements, especially DIFC and ADGM frameworks.
