You’ll work to ensure care remains safe, effective, and aligned with the agency’s standards, while supervising physical therapy assistants to maintain consistent, quality rehabilitation services. In addition to hands-on care, you’ll coordinate with other members of the care team and document progress to reflect each patient’s changing needs and goals.

Advice for applicants
Put your strongest home health and PT credentials up front on your resume. Lead with your forward-facing work as a Physical Therapist in home care, and clearly show your state license and NBCPT-approved education right at the top so it’s obvious you fit the must-haves.
When you present your experience, give concrete examples that prove you meet the must-have requirements. For instance, mention your active license and the NBPT-approved program you completed, and note any supervision you’ve provided to physical therapist assistants in past roles.
In interviews, be ready to describe how you deliver care in patients’ homes, how you promote independence, and how you ensure safety and quality across the rehab process. Prepare to discuss coordination with physicians and other clinicians, and how you align care with federal and state guidelines and the agency’s mission.
Ask a focused question about growth and development within Advantage’s home health program, such as what opportunities exist for increasing responsibility or expanding continuing education, and whether there are details you can share about the sign-on bonus and its terms. You might also ask how many PT assistants you would supervise and what typical caseload looks like for a full-time home health PT in Chambersburg.
