About Role

Green by Nature is seeking an experienced and driven Irrigation Manager to lead the delivery, performance, and continuous improvement of our Irrigation division.

This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing irrigation projects across Melbourne for some of our high profile Sports and Commercial clients, ensuring sustainable water management, site auditing and high-quality outcomes for our clients. If you are a strategic thinker with strong technical expertise and a passion for leading a small team and optimising irrigation performance — this role is for you!

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage Irrigation teams across a range of projects
  • Oversee the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems
  • Develop and implement water management strategies aligned with sustainability goals
  • Review and interpret irrigation designs, plans, and specifications
  • Conduct system audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage scheduling, resourcing, and workforce planning
  • Monitor budgets, materials, and cost controls to ensure commercial performance
  • Diagnose complex system faults and provide technical direction
  • Liaise directly with clients, stakeholders, and internal managers
  • Maintain accurate reporting, performance tracking, and documentation

About You 

You’re an experienced irrigation professional with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills. You have hands-on experience with irrigation systems and have stepped into a supervisory or management role where you lead teams and oversee multiple sites.

You understand irrigation design plans and can confidently guide others to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You are organised and able to manage schedules, priorities, and resources across different locations. You communicate well with team members, clients, and internal stakeholders, and you are comfortable using reporting systems and digital tools.

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Irrigation Technology (or relevant horticulture qualification)
  • Current Driver’s Licence
