Teads, a global omnichannel advertising platform, is looking for a Junior Creative Strategist to join its onsite team in Toronto. The company processes 18 billion ad opportunities every day and reaches more than 2.2 billion unique users each month, connecting ambitious brands with trusted publishers and creative ideas. With a 1,700+ team across 30+ countries, Teads values outcomes, trusted autonomy, and human collaboration, all powered by predictive AI to augment human ingenuity.

The opportunity is designed for someone who will dive into the creative side of campaigns from day one, working closely with Sales, Strategy, Studio and Campaign Operations to craft solutions that align with client goals. You’ll collaborate with strategists and commercial leads across Canada and the US, building client relationships, shaping creative recommendations, supporting pitches, and showing how strong creative impact can lift campaign performance.

Based in Toronto and onsite, this role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, cross-border teamwork, and taking on meaningful responsibilities early in their career.

Turning ideas into client-ready campaigns

In practice, you’ll guide both clients and internal teams on creative best practices and how to execute them to meet business objectives. You’ll translate campaign data, performance metrics, and audience insights into testable, practical creative hypotheses and recommendations. You’ll also draft clear, actionable briefs for Studio and design teams, ensuring the right information flows to deliver compelling concepts. Partnering with Sales, you’ll spot opportunities, propose creative solutions, and help move pitches through to close. Building solid, collaborative relationships with clients and their creative and media agency partners will be a daily focus, along with presenting recommendations and Teads’ capabilities in meetings. You’ll educate clients on the role of creative in driving outcomes and ensure that internal teams, locally and globally, deliver a consistent client experience. Representing Teads in the marketplace, you’ll advocate for the creative offering and work with Campaign Operations and Sales to keep client objectives front and center in media plans and creative execution. The role aims to foster retention, renewals, and incremental revenue growth, while staying current on trends in creative, media, technology, and culture and bringing fresh thinking to client conversations.

Must-haves

To be considered, you should bring these core capabilities:

  • Early-career experience in advertising, media, creative strategy, marketing, or ad tech
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Confidence presenting ideas to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to translate data, performance metrics, and audience insights into practical creative recommendations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
  • Familiarity with digital media, the open web, CTV, and advertising technology

  • Curious, driven, collaborative, and ready to take on meaningful responsibility early in your career
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • You connect with our values in practical ways:
    • Put customers at the centre, building relationships and making decisions with their needs in mind
    • Act quickly, prioritising action even when everything isn’t crystal clear
    • Focus on outcomes, take ownership of results, and push through challenges to deliver what matters
    • Adapt to change, stay curious, and continuously grow your skills
    • Combine a human-centric approach with AI tools to boost performance

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience collaborating with cross-border teams, including Canada and the US
  • Additional exposure to ad tech platforms or related technology ecosystems

Advice for applicants

Lead with a brief or case study that shows how you turned data or audience insights into a creative direction. If you have a project where you advised on creative execution and saw measurable outcomes, feature it at the top of your resume or in a short portfolio piece.

When you describe your skills, frame them around what you did for a project: the problem, the data you considered, the hypothesis you formed, and the creative solution you delivered. Show how you partnered with others, sales, strategy, or design, and what that collaboration achieved for the client.

Practice a short, client-facing presentation that demonstrates your ability to explain a concept clearly and tie it back to business outcomes. Be ready to walk through a brief you would create for a Studio team, including the objective, audience, and the creative hypothesis you’d test.

Ask a thoughtful question in interviews about how Teads balances AI-driven optimization with human creativity in real client campaigns, or how the team collaborates across Canada and the US to keep campaigns aligned and on-brand.
