Wingtra, a venture-backed robotics scaleup with a global team of 125+ Wingtranauts, is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join the GTM Products group in Zürich. Founded more than eight years ago at ETH Zurich, Wingtra builds aerial robots that digitize the world and help teams make faster, better decisions. The role is onsite in Zürich and is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ambitious prototypes into reliable software and wants to influence how data and product tooling come together across the company.

Wingtra values open communication and a willingness to question assumptions, while supporting colleagues to reach their full potential. If you enjoy collaborating across disciplines and shaping software that touches customers, data, and product strategy, you’ll likely feel at home here.

If you thrive in a team setting, prefer feedback-driven growth, and want to contribute to a structured yet unconventional startup environment, this role could be a strong fit.

From prototype to production in Wingtra's GTM stack

You’ll take AI-driven prototypes from the GTM team and bring them to life as production-ready software, covering authentication, access control, error handling, data integrity, tests, monitoring, and thorough documentation for a clean handover.

You’ll own the infrastructure behind every GTM-owned service, including hosting environments, CI/CD, secrets management, backups, dependencies, and the release process for those services.

Security for partner-facing software will be in your hands, with responsibilities around authentication, role-based access, handling partner and end-customer data, and answering security questions raised by partners and enterprise customers.

You’ll manage code end-to-end, from repositories and reviews to feature flags and ensuring prototypes meet ship-ready standards, including the authority to push back when needed.

Run rollouts with care, coordinating staged releases, pilot partner programs, rollback plans, and the communications that accompany a release in partnership with the GTM team.

Building an integrated solution landscape will be part of your work, collaborating with internal data, process, and product specialists to create a data-driven integration system that makes the right data available across tools and departments.

Context infrastructure is a shared responsibility, as you help own the layer used by GTM, sales, CSM and other internal agents.

You’ll contribute to Wingtra’s AI engineering practice, helping shape how coding and AI-driven workflows evolve in a fast-growing scaleup.

The must-haves and the nice-to-haves

  • A university degree in software engineering or computer science
  • At least three years of full-stack experience with a track record of running a customer-facing web application in production, using TypeScript/Next.js, Postgres, and a modern hosting platform
  • Comfort working in an AI-native environment where coding agents are the default approach and you can review and take ownership of code you didn’t write
  • Security-literate practitioner who understands authentication/authorization, multi-tenant scoping, secrets management and data-protection basics enough to be the accountable owner without a security team behind you
  • Experience with integration-heavy work, including CRM/ERP APIs (HubSpot, Odoo or equivalent), webhooks, and reconciling data across systems that don’t align
  • Product management experience, capable of handling internal and external customer interactions and applying product practices
  • Holds a standard at a distance, able to document decisions, communicate proactively, and push work through to colleagues even when not co-located, including with this role’s manager
  • Commercial fluency, understanding pricing models, channel margins, and renewal terms helps, even if the GTM piece is handled by others
  • Experience in a partner or channel business, or with any two-tier distribution model
  • Has productionized other people’s prototypes before, for example within internal tools or platform teams

If you enjoy teamwork more than individual heroics and you’re drawn to a feedback-driven culture in an ambitious startup, Wingtra would love to hear from you.

What to expect on the compensation and logistics side

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Zürich, Switzerland. Details about salary or benefits aren’t disclosed here, but the position situates you inside Wingtra’s global robotics scaleup with a strong ETH Zurich heritage and a mission to digitize the world with aerial data solutions.

How to stand out as a junior software engineer in Wingtra's GTM stack

Lead your resume with your three-plus years of production experience on a customer-facing web app, and clearly name the stack you used, TypeScript/Next.js, Postgres, and a modern hosting platform.

Show concrete examples where you owned software in production, including end-to-end responsibility from deployment to incident handling, and highlight any work where you reviewed or took ownership of code you didn’t originally write.

Be ready to discuss how you would productionize a GTM prototype, including security considerations for partner-facing software and how you would manage the context layer that serves GTM, sales, and customer success teams.

Ask a targeted question to learn about the current context infrastructure and data integration priorities, for example: how the integration landscape enables the right data to flow to the right tools across departments and what AI engineering initiatives are on the horizon.
