IFFCO, a notable name in the fast-moving consumer goods sector in the United Arab Emirates, is looking for a Key Account Manager-SS to lead a field sales team focused on general trade customers. The role is full-time and on-site, based in the UAE, and is a fit for someone who thrives on coaching a team, strengthening retailer relationships, and turning plans into in-store impact. If you enjoy guiding others, managing routes, and driving distribution, this could be the right next step for you.

The position sits at the intersection of people, products and place, with a focus on delivering visible results across outlets in the assigned area. It’s a hands-on role that rewards practical leadership, strong organisation, and a knack for turning strategy into daily execution on the shop floor. The right candidate will bring a practical mindset, customer focus, and a track record of improving performance in FMCG environments.

If you’re drawn to field-based leadership, enjoy working with retailers and sales reps, and want a role where you can shape how products show up in stores, you’ll likely feel at home here.

Steering the route to market on the ground

In this role you’ll supervise the sales team responsible for general trade, keeping route plans up to date and aligned with the company’s stock priorities. You’ll also oversee daily stock reconciliation and cash deposits, ensuring smooth movement of goods and timely collections from customers who operate on credit terms. The job requires you to maintain the right quantity and mix of products across routes so each outlet can be serviced according to the company’s must-stock list.

Part of the daily discipline is ensuring service levels, distribution, and in-store displays meet agreed standards, while conducting regular market visits to retrace performance with each route. You’ll continually review daily service performance, sales volume, and returns to stay on track with distribution targets and visibility goals across outlets. Wastage control and accurate ordering to service outlets to the specified standards are part of the core responsibilities.

Planograms across outlets and categories come into play, along with training and coaching for the personnel under your supervision. You’ll execute sales plans and budgets designed to hit annual objectives, and you’ll conceptualise and run brand activations, including launches and trade investment opportunities to sustain competitive advantage. Monitoring proof-of-performance at store level and devising promotional strategies to lift sales will also fall within your remit.

Promotional activity management is key, from proper implementation of sales campaigns to post-promotion follow-ups across trade and consumer campaigns. You’ll guide the team to reach better results by setting sales and collection targets in a bottom-up approach and by generating regular reports on overall sales performance and competitive activity.

What you need to bring and what helps you stand out

  • UAE-based experience managing a sales team in a similar role for one to three years, with a track record in leadership within the market
  • Three to five years of overall FMCG experience, ideally involving sales of food products
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a closely related field (required for consideration)
  • An MBA in business or management is a plus

Pay, benefits and practical details you should know

The role is full-time and on-site in the United Arab Emirates. Specific compensation, schedule, and benefits are not listed in the posting.

Three or four practical tips to help you land it

Lead your resume with your UAE-based FMCG leadership experience and your ability to manage a general trade sales team. Tie a clear line from your past roles to responsibilities like route planning, stock and cash reconciliation, and delivering distribution targets.

Show how you prove you can drive route performance by detailing your experience keeping route plans current and ensuring stock and cash controls are accurate on a daily basis. Include a concrete example of how you supervised a team to maintain service levels and achieve distribution goals.

Be ready to discuss your hands-on work with planograms, store-level visual standards, and brand activations. Describe how you’ve implemented promotions and POP materials and monitored their impact on sales, with attention to budget adherence and measurable outcomes.

Ask a targeted question about how the role balances field activation with distribution targets, and how success is tracked through KPIs like volume, value, visibility, and 100% MSL availability. A good question might focus on how planogram execution and trade investments are prioritised across outlets in the area you’d manage.
