Crystalbrook Riley in Cairns is seeking a full-time Kitchen Steward to keep our kitchens spotless and efficient, supporting chefs before, during and after service. You’ll handle dishwashing, equipment care, waste disposal and general cleaning, maintaining high hygiene and safety in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The right candidate is proactive, team-oriented and flexible to nights, weekends and rotating shifts; previous kitchen steward experience helps but is not essential. Bring knowledge of cleaning chemicals and food safety standards, and a Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain one. The Opportunity:
As a Kitchen Steward you will play an essential role in the smooth running of our kitchens. You will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all culinary spaces, supporting our chefs before, during and after service. Your responsibilities will include washing dishes, utensils and equipment, caring for kitchen machinery, maintaining spotless work areas, and ensuring all back-of-house spaces operate efficiently. You will also assist with deliveries, stock organisation, waste disposal and general cleaning tasks to keep our kitchens functioning at their best.
