$36,000 - $36,000 CAD yearly

Aramark is hiring a Laundry Aide to join its onsite team in Kamloops, CA. This full-time role focuses on operating laundry equipment to finish flatwork and tumble-dried goods, keeping work areas tidy, and delivering cleaned linen to the operations that rely on it. The company’s broader mission is service-oriented and people-focused, and this position sits within a global organisation that values equal opportunity and practical growth for its employees.

In this onsite position, you’ll be part of a hands-on operation that supports multiple client standards. It’s a steady, team-based role that suits someone who likes physical work, enjoys following established procedures, and takes pride in delivering reliable linen quality each day.

Inside the daily rhythm in the laundry room

Your day starts with receiving and sorting soiled linen into designated classifications, then using the cart washer when required and removing carts from the exit area. You’ll run the flatwork ironer and small piece folders to fold linen according to predetermined standards, handling any specialty items as needed. Quality checks are part of the routine, as you ensure linens meet client expectations and escalate any questions or issues to a lead or supervisor.

Labeling and tagging each linen distribution cart before transport helps keep the process organized, while folding and storing linen preserves cleanliness. You’ll assist the truck driver with loading linen and materials, and you’ll keep your work area clean, orderly, and well maintained. You’ll also communicate with the lead or supervisor about par levels and supply quantities, helping the team stay stocked. As with many Aramark roles, duties can shift over time to meet commitments and client needs.

What this role relies on

  • Teamwork and the ability to build solid working relationships with coworkers
  • Strong attention to detail that supports consistent quality checks
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once while staying focused
  • Ability to understand and apply guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Clear verbal communication so information and concerns are shared effectively
  • Experience operating the laundry equipment used in the role, including the cart washer, flatwork ironer, and folding machines
  • Ability to organise your workload to complete tasks efficiently
  • Prior experience in a high production laundry environment is preferred

Pay, schedule and practical details

The salary listed for this position is 36,000.00 CAD per year, while the pay rate noted in the job details is 18.25 CAD per hour. The role is full-time and onsite in Kamloops, CA. It may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and extended walking or standing, and uniforms or PPE may be required.

Tips to help you stand out

Lead your resume with concrete evidence of hands-on laundry experience and the exact equipment you know how to operate, such as cart washers, flatwork ironers and folding machines.

Back up your must-have skills with real examples that show teamwork, attention to detail, multitasking, following guidelines, clear communication, equipment operation and organized work planning.

Prepare to talk about how you maintain quality control and how you escalate issues to a lead or supervisor when something doesn’t meet client standards.

Have a thoughtful question ready for the interview, such as what quality standards govern the linen service for clients and how performance is measured day to day, or what training is provided for operating the laundry equipment.
